LIRR Deer Park

From the LIRR's twitter account:

Customers may experience delays as we operate on one of two tracks through Deer Park as a result of debris on the tracks after a motor vehicle struck the station platform. LIRR crews are on scene. We will continue to keep you updated.

Looking at google maps, it seems like a car striking the platform hard enough to do meaningful damage would require something, uh, interesting to have happened.

It could be that the vehicle was a large truck. There's a lot of industrial companies in the area with heavy truck traffic.
