Three tunnel workers were blown out of the tunnel. One, a Mr. Marshall Mabey was blown through the river mud and the river itself to about forty feet into the air. Mr. Mabey suffered only a broken leg and was able to swim to a nearby dock. His two co-workers were unfortunately trapped in the river mud and died.
