Guess the Location??...With new difficulty scale...

Posted by Fisk Ave Jim on Mon Feb 17 19:46:24 2020

The difficulty scale will work like this...1 to 10. Very Simple!
One being the easiest & ten being "difficult"
I'll give this a 5!

I searched for "Bank of Manhattan Company" and found a list of banks. I searched the first one and found the answer.

There was a near disaster there in 1953 when a truck hit one of the columns at that location causing the el to sag so much that a train nearly fell off.

Bank of the Manhattan Company was founded in 1799 by Aaron Burr. He started the Manhattan Company with a charter to supply fresh water to NYC, but a loophole in the charter allowed him to provide banking services as well, which was his goal in order to compete with his rival Alexander Hamilton. The company merged with Chase Bank in 1955 to form Chase Manhattan, now JP Morgan Chase.
