How can they have a rail system where everybody is so polite?I was there about 3 years ago and don't remember there being a rail system there, is it newer than that? I drove out to the airport from downtown and I recall it would be easy to extend it from where it ends. Just like with LGA! We kept saying to each other "what a cute little town" and then we had to remind ourselves that this is a world capital. Of course we were there in June and it was warm, you don't want to go there in January. I hope the Sussexes get used to it. |

Montreal and Toronto are great cities too, but Ottawa is the epitome of civility and charm...in the summer, and with the class and diversity of a national capitol. So glad to see they have begun to build rail transit! |

Missed the part earlier about the BBD Talent cars being replaced. They lasted just 14 years. And the article I posted in my other post seems to indicate problems with the four-year-old Alstom Coradia LINT (lol) cars (naming something after waste that comes from a clothes dryer should have been ringing alarm bells). |

Haven't looked up whether or not that line's diesel prime movers were replacedThe original Talent units used on the line are somewhere hidden on BBD's property. OC Transpo purchased Coradia LINT units as a replacement, and will augment their fleet with Stadler FLIRTS in the future. |
