Twitter has its uses.

Very much so. Your Twitter experience is heavily dependent on whom you follow, and there are some great minds on Twitter. It's particularly useful for the following:
  • Breaking news and other events you might care about but don't qualify as "news"
  • Insights and analysis from insiders and people who know a great deal about a given subject
  • Resolving customer service issues more quickly and conveniently than via phone or email (or if you've hit a dead end via those methods)
I do see a lot of complaints like Bill's. I think some people are sensitive to trolling and take Twitter too seriously or they're high-profile users who've grown tired of clicking Block, Mute and Report.
