Byford is a better man than I. After being abused by Cuomo to no end, I would have quit and left Prince Andrew to his own devices.

It seems to be a recurring thing in NYC: the truly great execs get driven out, while mediocre sycophants remain...

Cuomo should focus on the areas that actually need state-level cooperation, like LIRR & MNR, and working with NJ to get Gateway built (or maybe that #7 line extension to Secaucus). He has some good feathers under his cap already: the TZ Bridge, LIRR 3rd track, and (hopefully) LGA AirTrain. No need to fuck with the only thing going well for NYCT.
