I wonder how the trains reversed at Pennsylvania Av. Did they wrong-rail to the switch at Junius St? Or maybe if the track was complete and not the stations, they ran light to the switch just before Newlots Av.

And I was wondering how they managed without the yard. How long did they have to operate without having the yard available?

There's a scissors crossover just west of Pennsylvania Av, which they probably used.

There was a trailing point crossover between Junius Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. It has now been replaced with an "x" crossover.

When the line was extended to New Lots Avenue single car Composites ran as a shuttle between Pennsylvania Avenue and New Lots Avenue on the Manhattan-bound track. Through service to New Lots Avenue began on October 31, 1924.

The first section of the Livonia Avenue Yard opened on October 16, 1922. Additional tracks were opened on April 9, 1923 and later about 1930.

Originally there was only a single Xover between tk 1 and tk 4 W/O Penna Av. It was only made a diamond with the new signaling. The interlocking was officially called “Junius St” even though it was well east of Junius.
