I hope the M9s give many years of good service. On another note, I didn't previously know that there were still any electrified tracks at LIC. |

Last time I was there there was one, all the way at the south end of the yard. It has been there as long as I can remember, And I can remember steam engines in that yard.MMMMmmmmm.... What would the NIMBYs say about steam engines tying up there all day. Oh My! |

While like the idea of NYS colors on the rolling stock, I think a blue stripe bordered by the gold (yellow) beneath the window line where the solid blue stripe was on the M-1s through M-3s would look better. Another comment pseudo related to the M-9s, since the M-9s have the more or less traditional subway style pantograph gates, why weren't those installed on the NYCT’s NTTs since the end excess problem with them on the 75 footers does not exist? |

To get to LIC Yard from Grand Central would require the train to go into Harold and do a reverse move somewhere to get to the tracks that lead to Hunters Point and the LIC yard. Not saying it is isn't possible but how many times are they going to want to do that? |
