Looking out the Northshore motorman's window

Passing Barn 2 (diesel shop) at the Illinois Railway Museum, we are about to pass ITT U28B #260, nee CB&Q 114, built by GE in 1967; and Milwaukee Road H10-44 #760, built by Fairbanks-Morse in 1944:

Are the Chicago "L" cars you photographed operatble and taken out on runs?

When I last went there they put together a 6 car set made up of three generations of "L" cars … it was there July 4th week-end.
