Posted by zac on Tue Aug 13 20:22:01 2019 I needed a place to ride my bike today, on my second day of retirement, and I chose to do a tour of the Brooklyn Els. Here is what I found:Myrtle Ave and Broadway:    Lexington and Bway, nothing really evident  A flyover at Alabama Ave. Does anybody have info on this? I remember seeing this as a child when my grandmother lived on Sheffield Ave.  Bway Junction  Fulton St El. There are so many trackways here it is hard to sort them out. And I believe there used to be more too that were more recently removed? I also didn't see a connection between the Broadway El toward Canarsie. Was that removed at some point?     |

I read somewhere that it was supposed to be a flyover express track a la the flyover on the Flushing IRT line above the 111th Street station but that the plan was dropped. |
