They look more likely to be the IRT R-12/14's instead, because they have eight vents per side on their ogee roof top exteriors, as I had counted them. The R-10's had seven of them however.-William A. Padron ["a.c.f."] True, but I see an R 10 with (CC) in the route sign box. I guess that R 10 & R 46's were at that shop for some kind of work. I am thinking that R 46 was their for work because CI Shops was busy with R 46 & R 44 truck swaps. Bill Newkirk |

The R10 Farewell pamphlet said the several sets of R10's were on the J and L for some weeks. It may have been to back-fill for R16's, which were all basket cases by then, but I don't know. |
