R 1/9 on the B.The 32s held down B D N service back in those days,with a splash of R27/30s tossed in. The R1/9 cars were still in D F service out of the south, the 38 holding down the F and GG. QJ's were whatever could make service,but at best were R27/30 cars that were being pushed out to the east by newer equipment. However, the older cars in Jamaica were sent to the east for the same reason,equipping the NEW KK route,the M and LL. |

In any event, I don't think the rightmost portal is open in that shot- only the middle ne- but isn't that one open even now? I'll try to remember to check the next time I make the trip... |
