This footage is so great, cool seeing the pre GOH 32s especially considering those cars are still running today! Youtuber trainluv with another gem.

Good stuff. The 'QT' footage had to be filmed pre-1968 though.

Strange seeing an R27 8176 in fresh green paint coupled to a World Fair R33.

R 1/9 on the B.
The 32s held down B D N service back in those days, with a splash of R27/30s tossed in.
The R1/9 cars were still in D F service out of the south, the 38 holding down the F and GG.

QJ's were whatever could make service, but at best were R27/30 cars that were being pushed out to the east by newer equipment.
However, the older cars in Jamaica were sent to the east for the same reason, equipping the NEW KK route, the M and LL.

Steve Zabel had photographic skills well ahead of his years. Sadly he left us way too soon.

Most of the R-7s and R-9s wound up on the Three Stooges Division.

This is on the 4th Ave line, between 36th St and 9th Av, right? I go that way often enough, to see a trusted physician. In any event, I don't think the rightmost portal is open in that shot- only the middle ne- but isn't that one open even now? I'll try to remember to check the next time I make the trip...
