F and R car switches |
|
Posted by alantrain on Wed May 15 04:49:09 2019 Riding the F Culver line in Brooklyn and the Broadway line at 34th St yesterday, I seem to have seen more R-160's on the R and more R-46's on the F. Are they trying to make south Brooklyn feel better?By the way, the Culver line stations have some amazing art work. |

I remember when the R46s started on the F line back in the mid 1970s. They were a shock to the system - you could actually talk to the person next to you without having to shout and the a/c blew as cold as a freezer. |

This has been asked or mentioned before, but I don't remember replies or explanations. When a line begins CBTC operation, does this mean that the museum trains will no longer be able to operate on them? |
