Now we are allegedly at 29 TPH, but how much longer today to Times Sq ?

Calculate the Grand Central arrivals between 8:43 and 8:53. There are 6 of them (08:43, 08:44, 08:46, 08:48, 08:50, and 08:52) within 10 minutes. That's a peak rate of 36 tph.

Peak rate, but not sustainable. I simply counted trains in the 7 and 8 o'clock hours. When did they kill "key by " ?

They take 2 minutes longer today, with 1.5 and 2.5 minutes variation.

Back then, wasn't the time difference between a station for local versus Express, two minutes per station skipped?

The whole line reflected 5 minute difference. Maybe 30 seconds ?
