And they delay the trains in clearing tracks at the terminals.If deBlasio would do the right thing and the cops stop dumping these people into the subways to get them off the streets you wouldn't see this type of thing. But the public blames the transit worker for the mess. |

Back about 10 years ago I took a train out of service at 207th St. because of a foul smelling lead car. I called to have the police remove the offensive homeless skell from the car so it could be sent to the yard for cleaning. After a long delay, police said that because the skell could sit up and knew his name, they couldn't remove him from the train. The train left the station smelling and dirty. |

When I was a member of the New York City Transit Police Department, you are allowed to eject people, even using physical Force if necessary. If I got a call and the transit authority guy told me that the bomb was laying on the bench or seat and he wouldn't get up and move, that was reason enough to eject him from the system. Now of course, I could have told him just get on the next train and get out, but if it took the the guy to call me over the six wire, then off he goes! |
