[PHOTOS] The Three Faces Of Museum R-4 #401
Posted by Bill Newkirk on Tue Jan 8 16:41:33 2019 R-4 #401 in Jamaica yard as School car #491. I guess it was renumbered from #401 to #491 not to conflict with SIRTOA R-44 #401 In Coney Island shops for the restoration to service process. (April 1999) Currently as we know #401 at 2nd Ave-Houston for the Holiday Special. (December 28, 2014) Thanks in advance for your positive comments.

I didn't realize any got the R32 blue door treatment. The R4's were not among those that ever got transferred to the Eastern Division during 1968-69.

I didn't realize any got the R32 blue door treatment. Yes, #401 was later painted silver with blue dors. Don't know what year that occured. They're the ones without the grab indents. Did one of the signboxes also come from 175? I wonder if it's the one with Three Stooges Division signs.
