I like the wings they put in the seatback. The horizontal tufts in the cushioning usually means better lumbar support. Both are lacking with Amtrak's seat, which is the same basic design dating from the 1967 Metroliner - terrible seat science. |

You mean CANADA is south of DETROIT.That is like trying to tell me that the PACIFIC OCEAN is south of Philadelphia! Or that Reno NV IS west of LA CA GRRRRROAR |

Perhaps you should wake up before reading. There is no mention of Windsor City. There are mentions of the rail corridor from Quebec City to Windsor. The word Quebec needs "City" after it just like "New York" does, because Quebec is also a province. "Windsor" does not need "City" after it because there is no ambiguity. Any even halfway knowledgeable Canadian, and many Americans, know that Windsor is in Ontario, immediately southeast of Detroit. Windsor is in that very small portion of Canada that is farther south than Detroit it. Just like Reno NV is in fact farther west than certain California towns, like Needles. |

Bridge and tunnel traffic between Windsor and Detroit is considerable. They've needed a 3rd crossing for quite a while, that is a saga in itself. Lots of auto industry activity and a good casino. Half the population of Canada is on the Quebec City - Windsor corridor. |

Perhaps with Ford taking MCS and being open to the restoration of rail service there, VIA could send trains into MCS on an isolated platform with a section for border formalities ala Vancouver. |
