Tuscarora Almanac – November 8, 1926 – The Book of First Runs

Electric Ferries

The Electric Ferry Company begins a new service across the Hudson River between West 23rd Street, Manhattan and Baldwin Avenue in Weehawken, New Jersey. The six original vessels are GOVERNOR MOORE, CHARLES W. CULKIN, GRENVILLE KANE, W. A. BALDWIN, FREDERICK PIERCE and FRANK E. GANNETT. GOVERNOR MOORE makes the first trip.

Weekend rail service returns to Montclair for the first time since 1966. Trains will operate about every two hours between Hoboken and Bay Street, Montclair.
