LION on the MOVE

Posted by Broadway Lion on Sat Sep 22 13:38:20 2018

The LION is moving...

(not back to NYC)...

just from room 111 on the first floor
to room 205 on the second floor.

LION has been more than 30 years on the first floor, but with this move the entire first floor will be guest rooms, and all of the monks will live upstairs.

The Train layout stays where it is, on the third floor, two buildings over.

Now I have to herd all of my stuffed cats from the first floor to the second.

Because they want that room back as a guest room.

Monks do not normally live on the first floor, that being outside of the cloister,
but when I became a nurse, we set up the infirmary on the first floor so that the infirm could receive guests, physicians, etc.

Been many years since we did that level of care at home (3 FTE, you know) but while the other rooms were renovated I stayed put.

Now they are doing renovations in the guest wing, and guess which room needs the most renovation.

LIONS can be hard on a room.

But not as hard as a fisherman.

Fr. Claude, whose room I have taken over (him being in the nursing home now) was a fisher of FISH and tracked muddy boots all over the place.

No, they did not replace the carpet, but the next time we have the carpet cleaners in they will give that room a full cleaning.

Oh well. Half of my bed is on the first floor, and half of it is on the second floor, so.... If I want to go to bed tonight, I'd better keep moving things.

Because Carrie Fisher blew up the front door with a flamethrower.
