J had skip-stop between 160th & Alabama inbound in the AM in the early 70s. After truncation it was A-B skip-stop between Queens Blvd & Myrtle inbound AM. People I knew who lived along the line said that PM outbound skip-stop to QB (later 121st) did indeed run until inauguration of the Z. I never rode it then so I cannot say firsthand. |

That might not have been skip-stop, since there was only the J, no K. It was more like half-dead R16's and R27's skipping stations to make up time as they could no longer get out of their own way, assuming they didn't die on the way. |

Yes.The skip stop stations were clearly marked with signs at the begining of each stop within the territory. Black letters A/B with white background plates placed at the end or begining so operators would know. |

When the skip stop first started, the stations were marked with A and B signs. Post Chrystie, They were marked with QJ and JJ signs and later when the KK started, QJ and KK signs. |
