PATCO Classic Cars Farewell Fantrip

I was told near East Broadway but don't know the exact location to buy tickets / board a bus. Considering taking the earliest one on Sunday to catch this PATCO trip. Bolt Bus is another considerable option however I understand round-trip on those Chinabuses were as cheap as $15.

I also think that the older (pre 7000 series) WMATA cars still use an RT-5 brake system as do the oldest M/N and LIRR cars.

If you can find where they board in Midtown they will typically have either a person standing on the sidewalk selling tickets, or the driver will take cash.

There are 121 cars in the fleet: 75 Budd and 46 Vickers. Twenty-five Budds were singles and all the rest were married pairs. 120 are being rebuilt as married pairs, leaving one single unrebuilt.

When rebuilds are completed, the entire fleet will be married pairs. With an odd number of cars, one is left over after the rebuild.
