Yup... My parents used to live near there.

Dad has passed away and mom is living in North Carolina near my brother. She is 95 and is close to joining dad.

View is from the Pennsylvania side. Yes, those are the Lackawanna tracks. NYS&W was on the NJ side where I-80 is today.

I-80 runs along the eastern (NJ side) of the Delaware river for about 10 miles. On the opposite/western side (PA side), there is currently a single track -- google maps satellite view shows it may still be in service to handle a nearby powerplant -- but the two bridges going across the river no longer are in service.

But they could be put back into service... Or so they have been saying for the bast 40 years that I know of... All they need is for PA to PAY.

there has been some construction of the Lackawana cut-off recently with the plan to reactivate the line - so how is that progressing ?

Somehow I think that project stalled since NJT had so many cuts. I haven’t heard of any progress beyond Port Morris.

Nobody walks on route 611 like that anymore, that's for sure. And that line is single track now, with NS taking over ownership into East Stroudsburg from the PNERRA.

Over on the NJ side across the river, somewhere in that vegetation would be the old NYSW main line, which had I-80 built over it. That would connect to both Gravel Place and the former Wilkes-Barre and Eastern.
