More 3rd Ave. El in da Bronx

1949 view of a 3rd Ave El seven car composite express train coming into the Bronx on the upper level of the Harlem River Bridge and viaduct over the New Haven RR freight yard below. A N/B seven car N/B MUDC train is on the lower level of the viaduct.

Wow; great pic, once again. And I recall Ruppert Beer, being sold in my grandparent's store in the 50's.

And the owner of Ruppert Beer, Col. Jacob Ruppert, was the owner of the New York Yankees until he died in 1939.
