And we worry about where the next generation of subway geeks is to come from!

She should be glad they are not watching violent videos. She should also be so lucky to have a child with a hobby to keep them out of trouble.

The author of the article - Sarah Blackwood must be from England since she uses the term "trainspotter".

The article hits home a little for me. While the wonder is most paramount in planes (e.g. this giant object filled with hundreds of people can be parked nice and neat in New York, and then before a day passes the same object with the same people can be parked as such somewhere in Asia), it is similar for trains.

Disney decision-makers knew to have a monorail and/or steam "railroad" at or close to the main entrances to their top parks.

She’s also a Marxist as she uses the term “late-stage capitalism.”

a real honest to goodness Marxist, who revels in the dialectics of Duck Soup, or just a late stage ex-proletarian by a generation or two, who spends the surplus value of her emotions attempting to capitalize on conceptualizing her world, working and otherwise in the throes (now tell ole Foghorn Leghorn, is that a ball or a strike son?) of a what is called, or defined, as a service economy by using terms like late-stge capitalism as though they are a kind of comforting stick-ball bat to whack things into order?

She is also rather bitter about cities, and subways.....maybe this Sarah Blackwood, who also speaks about bum fights (?) (so is she from Bishopsgate, Jaywick Sands, or Neasdon) should go out looking for the Sarah Siddons instead.....and take her kiddies along too, I'm sure the youngest nipper would love some sweets when they finish rabbiting about looking at enginess and carriages....as she dives into her mobile phone and begins nattering on to her best mate about her long afternoon, among stabled museum trains....

Wait until they start watching the endless videos of Amtrak on the NEC...usually at North Elizabeth, Metropark or even more daring, somewhere in Connecticut
