I doubt it. The Blimp has a LAMTA number, which would put the pic between 1958 and 1961, by then, all rail service to Pasadena had long ended. I'm not blaming Bill, as sometimes these pics are labeled with erroneous information.

Also, while there was service to the Rose Parade in downtown Pasadena, there was never rail service of any kind to the Rose Bowl stadium.

If only the rights of way of those Red Cars were converted to cut-and-cover subway. Oh well.

Yep. Fortunately, some PE ROWs were preserved (usually for diesel freight service by parent Southern Pacific), so they were later able to be reclaimed for rail service (Blue Line to Long Beach, Expo Line to Santa Monica). I would have liked to have seen the Venice Short Line preserved. If they had built that subway from the Subway Terminal building to Vineyard Junction, that might have preserved that line. I lived in Palms near Venice Blvd the first year I was in L. A., so it would have been cool to have a light rail line a block away instead of the SCRTD 75 bus line (yeah the Expo Line is nearby now, 40 years too late for me) :(

Another one they should have kept was the line to the SF Valley in the median of the then-Cahuenga (now Hollywood) Freeway. It could have continued in the median all the way to downtown LA. Station at Highland (for the Hollywood Bowl), then maybe stations at the same streets where the express buses stopped (Western Av, Vermont Av, Alvarado St). Then it would go into a subway under Hill St (where the Red/Purple Lines run now) to the Subway Terminal building. Maybe the Hollywood segment could have still be a bus, but only as far as the Hollywood Bowl Station with rail from there into the Valley. What could have been.
