Follow-up here.If I properly understand the facts, there is (1) a drunk guy expressing bigoted opinions to others, and (2) others who took a shopping bag away from the drunk, pushed him off of the train, and doused him with soup. The drunk was certainly a jerk and offensive, but there is nothing unlawful about being a jerk or being offensive. The mob was clearly in the wrong, engaging in both larceny and assault. |
