Imagine the bathroom maintenance at all these eateries.

Since NJT started throwing some (not all) of the homeless out of the Newark Penn waiting room, the men's room has become even more gross, disgusting, and a homeless shelter. You are better off "going" on the train, or invest in some Kaopectate and be on a non-liquid diet the prior 6 hours when using NJT.

At Suburban Station, you have the Comcast center at the northwest end. You have bathrooms there that don't have the homeless using them when that is open.

One thing I've been hoping for (but doesn't seem to be in the cards) would be eateries within the "fare paid" zone of the regional rail once that gets set up. If the temporary barrier locations are any indication, the best we'll get is a couple of vending machines at 30st.

Guess you never read the Fourteenth Amendment.

No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


I sure don't get Soviet and US mixed up like you do.

You believe both are "far left" and frequently declare the policies of the latter to be the product of the former. I doubt you can tell the difference, so this is projection on your part.

Most laws where status is the sole determining factor (no money, no job, no home address) have been deemed unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court. Conduct based statutes (can't lay down on a bench, or shower in a sink) are another story. That made many (not all) state and local laws unenforceable. Many states have constitutional protections of their own that apply. You can always create a segregated area for ticketed passengers like the waiting area at NYP, but most stations make big money renting retail space that depends on public access to be viable. Very hard to have it both ways.
