Then , again, if they are usually on the ends of a train car, it would be easy to open the engineer's door. |

Before the M-8's came in, I was at the head end waiting for the train to leave GCT at the front, and someone came up, tried the door and sat down. I asked what she wanted, and she said she was waiting for the bathroon to be available. When I pointed to the front door said that it was for the engineer, she something like 'oh right!' |

Not all that unusual really, espicially late at night or after a holiday. But lets hear about an engineer going into a bathroom & try to run the train...then you'll have something!!:) |

I doubt very much that someone makes a conscious decision to relieve themselves where they shouldn't unless the intensity of the urge translates into a feeling of relieving onself or dying. |

This reminds me of a LIRR engineer I used to know back in the late 70's.One time he remarked that he was sitting in the cab of his M-1, operating his train when someone walked up and thought the cab was the lavatory. He said he gave her a bad look. Well, he was sitting down at the time. lol Bill Newkirk |

Back in the early 80s, I commuted from GCT to Woodhaven. After work & a night of debauchery enhanced with copious anounts of Budweiser, time to go home. Usual routing was Lex Ave downtown to Canal & wait & change for a J train to Woodhaven Blvd. That is a very long ride. It hit me at Alabama Ave. Sensing an immediate loss of the struggle to restrain and a desire to keep my clothing dry, I go between two R-27s & enjoy near orgasmic relief, being careful to aim high not to hit the 3d rail. I finished up as the train stopped at the station.Looking thru the ties down to the street, I couldn't help notice the guy in his car at the light underneath me suddenly putting his wipers on! Since it was a clear night, I wonder if he could figure out what was goin down. He should be thankful that he wasn't in a top down convertable! |
