This line is actually an extension and resurrection of the original G line that ran from Lincoln Ave. to Nine Mile Park'n'Ride at Parker Road. It's been extended through Aurora all the way to Smith and Peoria, where you can transfer to the directly adjacent A Airport line. At one point, the tracks run down the middle of Exposition Ave. I was on the second train to Peoria, aboard car 103, one of the Original Eleven LRVs from 1994. It was bitterly cold, a sharp contrast to the balmy weather we've had in Denver this month, which kept a lot of people away. There were no long lines anywhere. Our train actually broke down after leaving Dayton St. and dropped us off at Southmoor instead of turning south to Lincoln.

Rides are free on the R line today and revenue operation begins tomorrow.

If it was open today, wouldn't revenue service begin today as well?

Revenue generally means money is taken in... yesterday was the free day.
