Kevin was a good guy and had some really great wild west stories of working for the tee-ayy 40 years ago. He and I corresponded over the years on various transit subjects. Last thing we talked about was about an audio file of the Q-car whistle for loading into the sound chip on my O scale model of 1616ABC.

RIP and my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Memorial Service for Selkirk

Posted by bingbong on Wed Dec 14 18:36:47 2016, in response to "Book of last runs" SelkirkTMO, posted by bingbong on Tue Dec 13 19:58:13 2016.

edf40wrjww2msgDetail:detailStr
If anyone wishes, we're having the memorial service on Jan 14, as a "birthday vigil" (could not get a room for Sunday, his actual birthday) in the hall at St Matthews Church in Voorheesville NY at 1PM. After prayers, there will be reminiscing, videos, stories, music and a potluck (bring a dish or something to share). Come and celebrate Kevin's life.

Someone asked about memorial donations in Kevin's name. He was passionate about historic railroads and their restoration, and just as much about food pantries. I suggest either donating cash or an hour or two of your time at the one closest to you. Nobody should ever go hungry in this resource-rich world.
