This place will NEVER be the same without him. He "got" my humor whenever I say things just to stir the pot. He NEVER had bad words with me, and vice verca. I even suspect he knew what I did for a living!! Even though his political views somewhat differed, I NEVER had a personal problem with that. At least he never got to live under President Trump!May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. RIP Kevin. |

His off beat sense of humor was quite an asset to this board. And let's not forget his knowledge about what makes subway cars go. He was consoling when my brother passed away early this year, and now he's gone. Even if I disagreed with him on things, I still respected him immensely. I read in Compressed, so I just saw the subject header, I wasn't sure what exactly to make of it, so I clicked on the post, and then I knew :( At that time, there were around 5-6 responses, I read all of them, then clicked off the post. I then looked at one or two other sites, and then I was like, did that post say what I think it did? So, I looked again, and it began to sink in. Definitely a shock. IIRC, he posted a few days ago, so I'm guessing his passing was somewhat sudden. I think it is a tribute to Kevin that pretty much every regular SubChat poster has weighed in on this thread with their condolences, even those who didn't always agree with him. RIP |
