You're wrong as usual.

It seems a customer was walking between cars outside of west 4 on an F train, when he fell between the cars.

Do not move between subway cars

That makes more sense. While I don’t have an exhaustive record of between car incidents, I would imagine that there were few, if any, incidents of passengers falling to the track while merely walking between cars. All the cases I am aware of involved passengers either surfing or in some cases actually RIDING between cars to either relieve themselves or smoke both of which are illegal in any case.

Before AC, entire trains had the doors latched open front to back. The trains did not then become empty due to rider attrition.

Why would the Daily News headline say "Brooklyn train tracks"? The actual article copy gets it right that the location was just outside West 4th St. station in Manhattan. Did they mean to say "Brooklyn-bound train tracks"?

almost happened to me on the #7 train when the redbirds were running.car I was in had no a/c,went to the next car just as we hit the curve from QBP.I almost went under but grabbed the chain.it scared the hell out of me.just for that moment I forgot about the sharp left we were about to make and almost paid the price.

When crossing between cars, one should always hold on to either the safety chains or the grab handles that were made for that purpose even on straight track.
