Photos from today's BNSF Make-A-Wish-Foundation passenger excursion

Worth Stockyards southwest down to Forth Worth & Western RR's Cresson Yard. At Cresson the train wyes and heads back to the Stockyards. Before heading out we gassed up the car and made a quick drive to a UP mainline where we caught a Z train heading to Los Angeles from Atlanta. Four units were on the point headed up by AC4400CW #7277 followed by SD70M #3936. I didn't catch the road numbers on the third and fourth units. The train was running at MAS and hauling a unit train of stacks: I took some photos today at a very scenic location called Mustang Creek, which is about 30 miles southwest of Ft. Worth. It's very rural and the Bass Family has hundred of acres of ranch land here; during the spring it's not uncommon to see 1,000+ head of cattle grazing as you drive through the area. Here the train is heading southwest towards Cresson. The land on either aside of the ROW is Bass-owned land: The train passed us and we headed closer to Cresson to set up another shot: Upon reaching Cresson the train enters the right leg of the wye in preparation for its return trip back to the Stockyards: Here's a track plan of Cresson and you can clearly see the wye. The train enters the right leg; backs up towards the yard; and then enters the left leg for the return trip: We chased the train back northeast to the Stockyards for a bit: And then we headed home.
