Actually I would say it's an argument in favor: if we can return fear into the hearts of those who would run at the doors while they are closing, we'd have less door holding.In systems with platform screen doors I don't even *attempt* to cross as they are closing. Without screen doors all bets are off, I will charge if I believe I can squeeze through without the doors touching me (and will grab a pole to help slow down once I'm on). |

The door standers should at least turn sideways to minimize the blockage while they open. I understand not wanting to lose a prime standing spot by moving away from the door, especially if it's the last stop for a while before that side opens again... |
