WTC Hub/Occulus/Dey Street Passageway |
|
Posted by fset on Tue Sep 20 10:06:29 2016 The WTC Hub has grown tremendously in the past months. When I use the Dey Street Passageway, it is usually crowded. From inside the Occulus there are small display signs "Future R train" and still further towards Vesey Street, a sign "Future E Train".Does anyone know the opening dates for the R-train and/or E-train passageways. |

The R train entrance in the Dey St corridor has been open for a while. It's possible a new entrance to the Downtown R train platform from the Liberty St corridor you may be thinking about. As for the E train entrance at Vesey St, should be soon.Vader |

Anyone in agreement with me that the Dey Street passageway should have been designed so with a glass partition dividing the north side to be in fare control and the south side outside of fare control? (this would give an in system transfer between the R and the 2345ACJZ and would look similar to the passageway at 53-Lex). |

Also track 2 has a platform on each side.Though I think I remember an exit only platform somewhere in the mix, so what do I know, lol... I know. I'll actually look for the old track plan! It came from a really weird site but the image is accurate. |

The new PATH terminal crosses into the North Tower's footprint, on one of the platforms, they have see though glass in the platform that shows the foundation of the original 1 WTC. |
