Reduced fare metro card machine |
|
Posted by jabrams on Mon Jul 25 19:42:58 2016 While on the downtown #6 platform at 33rd Street, I noticed a metrocard reader on the platform side that stated "Reduced fare Metrocards only". What is that for? This is at the 32nd Street exit/entrance. |

I suppose it would be for people who are eligible for 1/2 fare metrocards so they wouldn't have to go to the uptown platform and cross the street.WHy they don't they just get a permanent card instead, that would make sense. |

That word should be “Metrocard.” It looks like my spell checker went wild again. I couldn’t be a typo since the letters that my computer typed are nowhere near what I actually typed in. |
