Eurostar a.k.a. Chunnel Train

Belgium and Paris to London at high speed, transiting through the Chunnel (English Channel tunnel). There is also daily service between London and Paris Disneyland. British Rail Class 373 EMU with a top speed of 186 mph.

Last time I looked they ran left handed in both France and the UK, so why not in the tunnel?

AFAIK, third rail operation ended at least before 2010. My trip from London to Paris was 100% overhead back then.

Outside of the NEC, we don't seem to have the political will to do it. Even the Acela should have been so much more than what it is.

That might explain why those S line trains in Paris ran lefthanded even though Metro trains run righthanded.

I remember when we arrived in Calais from Dover in 1978, the only sign I saw in all of France that was written in English was, "Drive on the right."

I believe the French drive on the right but the trains run on the left because of advice from the British during construction of systems.

The station where the guy jumps down onto the tracks and begins walking north, looks like it might be Brooklyn Bridge, you can see what appears to the overhead walkway over all four tracks.

And the platform that the guy orginally is on, is probably the northbound side platform, underused from the beginning and later abandoned.
