I have the Triboro RX as part of my fantasy map, but looking at Google Earth, any attempt to bring the train down from the Hell Gate descend to the tunnel might have to involve street closures. |

The tunnel ran underneath St.Mary's Park. St.Ann's Avenue is a street that runs alongside the west side of the park. At one time it was served by the Bx-32. In the 1950's you could walk through the park to a bakery for the day old bread. By the 1970's you would only walk through that park if the 82nd Airborne went with you.Larry, RedbirdR33 |

I, as an auditor, was sent to work on the account of HICO Steel on 132nd and St. Ann's. This was in 74-75 and the neighborhood was a war zone, with a lot of abandoned buildings. We talk more more about this Saturday, if you are coming to Members' Day at Shoreline. Hope to see you there! |

This is the scene today of the tunnel/ROW at 161st Street in Melrose, between Elton and Washington Avenues. If you notice, the street changes color. The tunnel is underneath the ligther portion. |
