A Simple Way to Stop the Homeless from Riding the E Train |
|
Posted by heypaul on Tue Feb 9 20:52:24 2016 If the appeal of the E train to the homeless is that it is entirely underground, then they would stop riding it, if the terminals of the E and the F were switched. |

Should the F operate between 179 and WTC and the E operate between PAE/JC and STL, then the F would become the homeless express. |

The last time I rode the late night 7 it was full of homeless. Extra blankets for the outdoor portion. Seems the problem is indeed getting worse. |

That is to change the NORTH Terminals...With the (E) going OOS at 179 the train would have to be fumigated before the relay, the skells would have to get off. Since is the last stop, make no free cross over to the Downtown side. ROAR |

Free cross to the S/B side would still be necessary in the event of service diversions or other situations requiring passengers to Xover. |

The cost of "somewhere to live" has risen unspeakably in all of the "desirable" cities. However, we as a nation are clearly more willing to burn money on counterproductive wars than building enough places for our own citizens to live. Having the subway or buses (streetcars in LA) serve asthe shelter of last resort is shameful. Of course,in a nation where millions profess Christian beliefs, their indifference to the least among us is disgusting. |

Yeah, that constant stop and go for the local stations interrupts my sleep, and the draft from the doors opening and closing, with the friggin' door chimes.Late nights, half of the doors should be disabled. Same with those cursed ceiling lamps. And another thing, I took my shoes off, so they would be polished. they are two weeks late. I'm waiting! |

What do you do in the case of a passenger inadvertently missing a stop and having to back ride? It would become the only terminal where passengers could not change directions without an additional fare and not operationally acceptable at all. |
