Saw the story on all TV channels as a "breaking news" event. The boom is in the middle of the street and is about two blocks long.

Any effect on the subways ?

In the city yesterday, I saw a new building going up looking way up Church Street, just north of Thomas and Worth Streets. Was that it ?

I worked at 60 Hudson for Western Union for a while. Amazed that they're turning it into apartments. Place had insanely high ceilings.

More and more lower Manhattan going residential - less and less reason to run a Brown M with every passing month.

Probably not ... "the news" has an annoying habit of reporting before the information is in just to beat the other guys. :(
