I was browsing through TimesMachine, an online way to browse through the NY Times archives by viewing scans of every pages of the paper as published. (Unfortunately, TimesMachine is only available to digital subscribers.) So, on Oct. 7, 1915, on page 5, there is an ad from the Jersey Central for special trains to the "World's Series" then about to start in Philly. Since I can't copy or link to the ad, I will transcribe it:

The Phillies home at the time, Baker Bowl, was literally situated on TOP of the Reading yards in North Philly. In act, the outfield had a slight 'hump' to it, because of that.

The Athletics park, Shibe Park, was only a few blocks away, and both were very close to the North Philadelphia stop of the Pennsy. It was very convenient for visiting teams to run to the station after finishing a series,
