(Unfortunately, TimesMachine is only available to digital subscribers.) So, on Oct. 7, 1915, on page 5, there is an ad from the Jersey Central for special trains to the "World's Series" then about to start in Philly. Since I can't copy or link to the ad, I will transcribe it:
