It is also the last day of LIRR operation on the portion of the Rockaway Beach Branch on the Queens Mainland. Service will be cut back from Hamilton Beach to Ozone Park. But wasn't the portion from Whitepot Junction to Ozone Park still considered the Rockaway Line- even if trains never got to Rockaway after 10/2/55? |
