Not to steal Larry's thunder, but.....

On August 1, 1920, BMT standards began operating on the Brighton line to Coney Island as the link from DeKalb Ave. to Prospect Park opened.

And on the same day that Sea Beach Fred tied the knot, I saw Tom Seaver strike out 13 Padres as the Mets won 5-3, thanks to a three-run home run by Cleon Jones. To top it all off, my father and I caught a 7 express back to Times Square after the game.

As well as the tunnel from Lex/60St to Queens plaza, on Aug 1st, 1920- if it wasn't posted.

One more- IRT 125St/Lex to 138St/3Av on the Pelham line also opened on Aug 1st. in 1918.
