It looks sharp wearing those trucks. This car has come a long way, since it was acquired from a property in Jacksonville, FL.

Looks like it's intended for trailer duty then, those 32 trucks really aren't going to work out so well for it to run under its own power. But glad to see it off the ground! :)

Indeed it has. Really interesting to see what they'll do to get the car running in the future.

That might be the plan right now, to have it on some sort of a static display. There's still a long way to go. Would be interesting what they come up with should they decide to get the car to run. 983 looks odd with SMEE trucks. But it's progress! :)

Gomaco Trolley Company has MV101 motors (Metropolitan Vickers) for it's replica trolleys. Maybe the museum could acquire some down the road to make 983 an operating car.

They also have CP27 compressors, while not realistic to the Arnines, having an imagination is good in that situation.

I find not only their effort amazing, but that there's such interest in this outside of the NYC area. This car must be their pride and joy.

If they can turn on power to at least run the lights, fans, and doors, that would be a dream!!

That shouldn't be too hard, but they'll need 600 DC for that.

It looks like they might have already gone Goldens Deli style in a previous photo where they had the car sorta lit up, I imagine by rewiring the lighting circuits for 110 AC; but getting the air for the doors will need 600 volts to the compressors.

Small 110v compressor from Home Depot. If you wait for it to fill the tanks you could blow the whistle too.

True, for arnines you only need 90 pounds, so eventually you'll top off. :)

The photos reveal the possible use of Plexiglas in some of the side windows.
Now I'm hungry for a few interior views.
Great work so far, but their "punch" list must be impressive.
Do the Craggy Mountain Line people have any other electrics on their property?

More photos from the Craggy Mountain Line site.

Well worth a visit to their site or their Museum.

Their location to where 983 was seems to be a factor in their acquisition.
