A man was found under a B train at Yankee Stadium stop. He was uninsured and uninjured. It was unclear how he got under the train. It took quite a while to assess the extent of damage to the underside of the subway car.

Did He Trip, Fall or Pushed?

Good to hear that the man was not injured, but when I was trying to get back into the City via Brighton, there was NO communication about lack of B service. I got on the Q at Coney Island and planned to get a B Express at Sheepshead Bay. I did see 2 B's that looked out of service at Brighton, but paid it no mind. After rounding the curve on the Q at BB, I saw a stopped B with passengers, and just assumed one of the B's I saw would come to Sheepshead in a few mins. NOPE!!! Waiting at Sheepshead over 25 mins, only saw ONE out of service B fly by on the Southbound esp track. Let 2 Manhattan Q's pass and got on the 3rd one that came, and never saw another B in either direction pass. At Prospect Park, I FINALLY hear station announcements about delays on the B/D due to an earlier incident. Dont understand WHY announcements were made sooner---I would've stayed on the first Q train all the way into the city!!!!

Don't feel bad - No announcements were made in the 4:00 hour this afternoon when there were 5 N trains and after 30+ minutes there was finally an R to Bay Ridge at 59th St/4th Ave. "No communication" seems to be the current protocol these days.

Ugh, waiting long for R trains seems commonplace.......

But really, if something were wrong along the Brighton Line, it would be nice (and professional) for Brighton Line dispatchers to have Q train conductors make announcements too if there was a delay in B service (and vice-versa). Just really poor communication all around---and it's not a new concept, I just needed to vent this time!!!!

Actually, the Daily News is reporting that the man who was on the tracks at 161st St. is dead.

Of course - practically an everyday occurrence during rush-hours. Was mitigated somewhat by people who kept abandoning the station to walk home or (overheard some say they'd) catch a bus.

Rush-hour service needs to change: every other rush-hour train 95th-Whitehall or 95th-Chambers to stop the insane switching delays and severe overcrowding delays.
