By process of elimination, must be either the Arnine or the SMEE train. My guess is the latter since CIY probably has parts on hand to fix SMEE equipment. |

With healthy motors, anything is possible. I've never ridden on a Triplex and understand that they don't accelerate as rapidly as the R-1/9s, but once they get going, they can move. |

This is great and all, but I'm a little surprised that this wasn't more hyped by the Transit Museum and we're first hearing of this only a week beforehand. The Parade of Trains back in 2004 was hyped for weeks in advance, and was used to try and get new members to sign up. (You couldn't ride the trains unless you were a museum member.) I would think that the NYTM would try to repeat the membership drive.Wonder if there'll be a "sym-phony" near Ocean Parkway again :) --Mark |
