Posted by heypaul on Sat May 23 06:50:28 2015 According to this story, the 72nd Street SAS station will have 5 elevators at one end and 2 escalators at the other end of the station. There will be no stairway in the station due to the prohibitive cost of providing such facilities. Should there be an emergency and a loss of electrical power, customers will be led to the 86th station where they can safely evacuated by climbing a rope to the street level.
