Larry eventually does something to the database of messages to correct it, some kind of compression or repacking I think. Selkirk knows the details. I'm wondering, would moving some of the really old messages (from years ago) out of the main database and into some kind of archive help prevent this? |

They are a treasure trove and should not be taken off-line. |

This is a great site with quite a few very interesting posters. Once in a while a few engage in in some rock throwing, but a wide range of opinions and ideas usually come up. I am personally grateful that someone is willing to take on the challenge and cost of running this site and will tolerate an occasional glitch as it comes along.
