In fact a few years later when the R-12, 14 and even the 15s were retrofitted with the smaller radio antennas that were used on the BMT/IND cars, the IRT supt chose not to lift the ban except for the 3 Av el. |

Rode out to Rockaway Park today in time to see the first PM Rockaway Park A Train terminate at Rock Park, leave the station, then lay-up on one of the side tracks to wait for morning service. I would imagine "E" trains did the same thing in the '60s and 70s???? |

There was a crossover location on the Milwaukee Rd Dubugue and Illinois Division a mile or so west of the town of Mount Carroll. When I was in colleghe there in the early 60s there was no Red Barn, but apparently there had been 70 years before. |
