While the "outing" caused the candidates to flee, I stand w/the reporter. His calling is to find out what is going on. |

I still think it was irresponsible of Mr. Tuss. A reporters job is to report the story not to become part of the story he is reporting. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |

Seems to me that he only became "part of the story" because no one else got the "leaks/tips" he got. So if he had passed the scoop on to competitors and they all were chasing the details? Will be interesting to see the fallout if the candidates are outed to the media where they are currently employed. |

Will be interesting to see the fallout if the candidates are outed to the media where they are currently employed. Me thinks Tuss will not release the names of the now withdraw candidates in an attempt to restore his trust within the Jackson Graham Building. He will be the go to guy for those that have an ax to grind and on the shit lists of those that will never trust him. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |

Well, there we are. Reporters need 'favors' from insiders 'who are not authorised to comment on this issue' but are paid to ferret out whatever they can. As to the instant case, others, if they care, can probably find who the candidates were by talking to colleagues in transit agency cities. There will probably be a trail of auto reply emails 'out of the office today' or similar which some reporter might have gotten on the days in question. Alternatively, reporters in the other citties might want to follow up especially if as was the case in SF the GM at SF Muni who was looking for an escape was already disliked by riders. |

If he isn't on shit lists already. Considering how every coworker of his refers to him as a "transportation expert", he has done little to show why he earned or deserves the title. |
